Background
Bart is an experienced trust and fiduciary services professional with a distinguished career spanning over four decades in Jersey and internationally.
He has held key leadership roles throughout his time in Jersey’s finance industry, including managing director at a major European Bank’s Jersey trust subsidiary where he expanded operations to 30 staff and oversaw the integration of operations with a Guernsey based subsidiary. He later led a privately owned trust group, establishing entities in the Caribbean, London, and Italy, and managing complex multi-jurisdictional trust litigation.
From 2009 onwards, Bart held senior consultancy and compliance roles with multiple fiduciary firms in Jersey, including both privately owned and institutional, where he oversaw the acquisition and integration of multiple trust businesses. Since 2015, he has specialised in regulatory remediation and compliance for firms including bank owned trust companies as well as private wealth management companies. With extensive expertise in trust management, regulatory compliance, and fiduciary remediation, Bart continues to provide strategic consultancy within the industry.
