AML IDV WOULD YOU SPOT A NOVELTY DOCUMENT?

08/09/2024

So many firms rely on paper documents for AML IDV purposes, yet the ease of forgery and/or misrepresentation is mind-boggling.

For example, a recent piece of work Comsure was involved in led us to believe a client had made up their ID profile using the following service [OR SIMILAR].

Would you be confident you are not signing and accepting a novelty document?

The available information is extensive, and you can add in your details, including transactions. Imagine someone wanting to prove a large source of funds receipt.

The firm is confident in excelling in accuracy and standards.

Risk warning.

At least they tell you that if you use the service, it must be for novelty and or theocratical purposes only.

Maybe if you are relying on documents, you should look at the technology EIDV rather than the possibilities above.
