Guidance on screening goods of proliferation concern and their means of delivery
Alongside financial sanctions, the government imposes controls on certain types of trade. As part of this, the export of goods and services for use in nuclear, radiological, chemical or biological weapons programmes is subject to strict controls.
You can assess your goods, software and technology to determine whether or not they are controlled against the following. lists:-
- The UK Strategic Export Control Lists
- The Consolidated list of strategic military and dual-use items
You can also use the UK Open General Export Licence Checker (OGELs) to check on controlled dual-use or military goods, software, and technology overseas.
OGEL can be used to
- Check if the items are controlled.
- Identify the appropriate control entry.
