- In an attempt to identify clients of TRIDENT TRUST GROUP who are suspected of evading U.S. taxes,
- The IRS has taken significant steps to identify clients of the Trident Trust Group suspected of evading U.S. taxes.
- They have filed petitions in federal courts in New York, Georgia, and South Dakota to serve ‘John Doe Summonses’ on various entities, including courier services, financial institutions, correspondent banks, and a New York-based firm called Nevis Services Ltd
A ‘John Doe Summons’ is a tool the IRS uses to obtain information about unidentified taxpayers from third parties. This move is part of a broader effort to crack down on tax evasion and ensure compliance with U.S. tax laws2.
