JOIC issue a second Administrative fine of £4,000 and a public statement

The Data Protection Authority for the Bailiwick of Jersey (the Authority)1 has issued a fine to Jon Peacock t/a Star-Delta Electrical Services (Star-Delta) for £ 4000.00
Jon Peacock, trading as Star-Delta Electrical Services, was fined £4,000 by the Data Protection Authority for the Bailiwick of Jersey due to several data protection violations.
The fine was issued because Star-Delta shared personal information about a client and their partner on social media without a lawful basis. This included posting their names, photos, and other details, which led to third parties making insulting comments and identifying their home address.
Additionally, Star-Delta failed to cooperate with the Authority's initial inquiries and continued to post offensive content even after being asked to stop
