Mauritius has come in from the EU cold – while Cayman is now in the EU deep freeze!!

Mauritius is now officially removed from the European Commission's List of High-Risk Third Countries (commonly referred to as the "EU Blacklist") – but the Cayman [and others] are not!!

And the changes are shown as follows:-

ADDING

  • Burkina Faso, CAYMAN ISLANDS, Haiti, Jordan, Mali, Morocco, the Philippines, Senegal, and South Sudan to the table in point I of the Annex and

DELETING

  • The Bahamas, Botswana, Ghana, Iraq and Mauritius

The update is further to the publication of the amended Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/1675 (the "Regulation") in the Official Journal of the European Union on 21st February 2022. The Regulation will enter into force on the twentieth day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union, i.e. on the 13th March 2022.
