STEP – Issue a new report on ‘Tackling Economic Crime’.

11/09/2024

Today, STEP is launching ‘Tackling Economic Crime’, a new report that provides expert analysis of existing measures to combat financial crime and practical recommendations on how to address the current gaps.

With 2024 being the biggest election year in history, many governments will be examining how they can progress the fight against economic crime. This report has been released as part of STEP’s policy engagement work to help inform discussion on this crucial topic.

STEP is urging policymakers to strengthen existing lines of defence and build on what has come before – closing up any gaps that criminals may exploit and bringing about a more joined-up approach to ensure rigorous standards are enforced globally.
